On Saturday, November 19th the Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation hosted the Warrior Guide club of Henderson High School and their Chester Braves at the Palace Bowling and Entertainment Center in Downingtown.  70 Chester children (Braves) from four schools in Chester met up with their HHS friend (Warrior Guide) and together enjoyed an afternoon of bowling.

The kids spent lots of time talking, and laughing and when they were really warmed up, they took it to the dance floor.  The whole crowd of more than 150 kids danced together; sometimes teaching each other dance moves, and sometimes just moving and shaking to the beat.  It was a fantastic night and just one more chance to get to know each other better.  Friendships are deepening and trust is beginning to form.  The children are getting so comfortable with their teen mentors and the high school students are developing a sense of protection and strong care for their friends from Chester.

We are looking forward to seeing each other again in a few weeks.
