On October 20th, our Warrior Guides group got together for just the 2nd time this year for a fun Game and Movie night at Christ Community Church. The afternoon was spent playing an array of games and activities including classic board games like Guess Who and Sorry, making friendship bracelets, playing basketball, and there was even a giant Connect Four game. After working up a competitive appetite, the group was treated to a delicious taco bar for dinner. From taco makings to chips and salsa, it was a delicious treat. All of the taco beef and chicken was graciously donated by the wonderful people at Green Street Grill. The Braves and Guides are still getting to know one another so being able to sit down one-on-one while playing a game and enjoying a meal together was awesome and some great conversations were had.
Following dinner everyone gathered in CCC’s giant gym and auditorium for a special movie screening of Toy Story 4. Durning the movie everyone was treated to fruit snacks and authentic movie popcorn donated by the Downingtown Regal Movie Theatre. Movies are always made better with popcorn!
It was a great Warrior Guides event and was wonderful to see so many bonds and friendships beginning to form between the pairs. Special thanks to CCRES for sponsoring this event, with out their gracious donation the evening would not have been possible.
