July-August
Backpack & School Supply Drive
During this time, we collect new backpacks and school supplies to give to children in Chester that may not have what they need to start the school year. The West Chester Henderson High School student leaders put collection boxes at local West Chester businesses and at their homes to collect donations. The leaders then take these donations to Chester schools to distribute to the Chester students so that they will be prepared for a successful school year.

September – October
Candy Drive & Used Book Drive
In October the Foundation has an annual Fall Carnival at Chester Memorial Park. We invite all of Chester to come and enjoy an afternoon of hayrides, carnival games, bounce houses, free food, live entertainment, and more! This is a free event so that the children of Chester can enjoy the Fall and Halloween season. At this event we give away 600 candy bags and thousands of free, gently used and new books. We need donations of candy for the candy bags and new or gently used books for the book giveaway.

November to December
Toy Drive & Winter Coat Drive
Every December we treat over 400 Chester children to a magical holiday experience. We work closely with Chester school counselors & social workers to invite those that may have a challenging holiday season to come to our annual Toy Store. At this event, the children are given the opportunity to pick out gifts that they would like for Christmas. They then get to pick out something for their parent or loved one so they can experience the gift of giving. There are free coats for any child in need of one. Last year we collected over 3,000 toys, 400 coats, and hundreds of gifts for parents.
