Learn to Skate 2017

On Sunday April 2, the Foundation held its 6th annual Learn to Skate at Ice Line. Over 85 high school hockey players from the Chester County area came out to teach over 60 Chester 3rd – 5th graders how to skate for the afternoon. The event was led by Henderson seniors Corinne Ahrens, Tommy Aughey and Dylan Smith. They did a great job organizing the event and making sure everyone had a blast on the ice! When the Chester students arrived by bus each child was paired up with a High School skater for the afternoon. They enjoyed time together on the ice as well as off with a wonderful catered dinner of pasta, salad, pizza, and cake! Each child was also given a used hockey jersey to take home! It was a wonderful event that has been a staple to the Foundation over the years and children continue to come back year after year! We would like to thank our generous sponsor Land Services USA, Inc. for making the evening possible!
