School Supplies Drive 2014

tuttles
Matt and Jordan Tuttle, two juniors at Henderson High School, coordinated the School Supplies Drive for this year.  Through lots of hard work, and networking, they were able to collect 165 new back packs and fill them chock full with school supplies.

chosen

Jordan and Matt, along with their parents, went to Chester on Sunday, August 17th, and joined the Better Living Center, at their Fair.  The children of Chester who attended were treated to a free, brand new back pack, filled stuffed with school supplies for the school year.  They also enjoyed fun activities at the fair and met some community organizations that are aimed at helping the children achieve academic success.  The Tuttles handed out 50 back packs at the Fair.

ready

In addition, Matt and Jordan accompanied Karen Hicks to Chester on Monday, September 8th, and dropped off 30 backpacks to specific children who are in need of the supplies and then went by a few schools to give stuffed backpacks to their social workers.  These friends of the Foundation will give the supplies to the children at their elementary schools who are most in need.

thankful

We are so thankful for the West Chester community and the generosity they have showed not only this year, but over the past five years in donating beautiful, sturdy back packs and tons of supplies.  Because of the abundance of supplies, these children will go to school fully prepared to excel!
