Warrior Guides Bowling 11/17/12

The Palace Bowling and Entertainment Center generously sponsored the Warrior Guides Club and hosted them for an afternoon of bowling and dinner on Saturday, November 17th.  The club completely took over the Palace and filled all 40 lanes.  93 Henderson High School students bowled with their 5th Grade Brave from Chester.

The pairs had a ball together trying different bowling styles, some with bumpers up, some not; some swinging their leg back and behind, others rolling the ball in between their legs!  It didn’t seem to matter what the score was, or who bowled in what order…what mattered most was the laughter, and there was plenty of that!

All the kids were just so happy to be spending time together.  Even though they have only known each other for two months, they are already good friends.  The high school kids all look after each other’s little Braves, and the Chester kids don’t care who else they are bowling with, they are just so happy to be with their Warrior Guide.

After a few games of bowling, everyone jumped onto the dance floor.  The DJ was great and the kids had such a good time group dancing and/or line dancing.  The Henderson kids looked on as the Chester kids showed off some really amazing dance tricks.

The Palace served pizza and soda and then the group enjoyed some cake too.  Everyone is really excited to see one another in just two weeks as the group serves together at six different non-profit agencies in Chester in December.
